Often referred to as the AYUSH PG NEET, this national-level entrance test is the definitive gateway for medical graduates seeking admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses across Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy programs for the 2026–27 academic session.

The online application portal went live following the official notification, and candidates have until July 30, 2026 (up to 9:00 PM) to complete their registration forms on the official NTA website (exams.nta.nic.in/aiapget).

🔒 New Strict Security and Verification Measures

Following structural upgrades across all major national testing frameworks this year, the NTA has implemented rigorous anti-fraud measures for AIAPGET 2026 to guarantee total transparency:

Real-time Aadhaar Authentication: To eliminate impersonation or proxy candidatures, the NTA has integrated mandatory Aadhaar-based authentication directly into the application portal. Candidates must complete real-time verification to proceed.
Live Photograph Capture: Candidates will no longer just upload pre-saved images. The application platform now requires live photo capture via webcam during the form-filling process to ensure identity matching.
UDID-Based Verification: For the very first time, candidates applying under the PwD/PwBD category will undergo mandatory Unique Disability ID (UDID) card verification. Only cards authorized by competent central government bodies will validate the reservation privileges.

📝 Exam Pattern & Language Mediums

The examination will be conducted as a multi-lingual Computer-Based Test (CBT) across approximately 122 cities nationwide, spanning a total duration of 120 minutes (2 hours).

The paper features 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) worth a maximum of 480 marks. The standard marking scheme dictates $+4$ marks for every correct response and a penalty of $-1$ mark for every incorrect answer.

Given the distinct traditional medicine streams, the medium of the question papers will be strictly divided as follows:

Ayurveda: English and Hindi
Unani: English and Urdu
Siddha: English and Tamil
Homoeopathy: English only

🎓 Eligibility & Counseling Scope

Candidates must hold a valid BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, or BHMS degree from a recognized council or university. Additionally, those in the final stretch of their mandatory rotatory residency must ensure their completion certificates or provisional letters indicate completion on or before the NTA's prescribed benchmark date to be eligible for subsequent counseling rounds.

The final evaluation scores from the August 22 exam will be utilized by the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) and state authorities to fill All India Quota (AIQ) and state quota seats across all Government, Private, and Deemed Universities in the country.
