2. Major Student-Centric Digital Reforms
To simplify administrative workflows and reduce candidates' out-of-pocket travel costs, the MCC has implemented significant procedural upgrades for this admission cycle:
No Physical Presence Needed for Upgrades: Candidates who accept a Round 1 seat and choose to participate in Round 2 for a higher preference are no longer required to travel physically to the allotted college just to lock in their upgrade choice.
Online Resignation Portal: Seat resignations within permitted timelines can be completed directly through the official candidate dashboard on the MCC website.
Online Verification for NRI Seats: Applicants seeking seat conversions under the NRI category in deemed universities must upload their affidavits, sponsorship proofs, and passport copies directly to the portal for online verification prior to Round 1 choice filling.
3. Scope of MCC Centralized Counselling
The MCC manages seat allotments across multiple national categories, accounting for All India Quota (AIQ) seats as well as central and deemed institutions:
15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in all government medical and dental colleges across Indian states.
100% MBBS & BDS Seats in AIIMS campuses, JIPMER, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), and Delhi University (DU) medical colleges.
100% Seats in Deemed Private Universities nationwide.
50% AIQ Seats in ESIC Medical Colleges.
(Note: The remaining 85% of state quota seats in government and private colleges will be filled separately through respective State Counselling Authorities).
4. Fee Requirements & Document Checklist
Candidates participating in the MCC counselling must pay a non-refundable registration fee along with a refundable security deposit during online portal registration:
